Yikes...its been a wee while since my last post.

Alexander is on school holidays, well 2 weeks off kindy, we will have to plan a few things or I think he and I will go mad, as he is used to going off to kindy every morning.

Also Alexander has his own ipod (mp3) player now!!!! and he is not even 4 yet!!!! He loves to listen to Hairy Maclary stories, Thomas the Tank Engine, and the Wiggles.


I snapped this while he and I were having a cuddle on the couch :-)


Alexander has gone off to work this morning with Daddy, I'm updating the blog and Scrufty is sleeping on the back of the couch!!!

a big Happy 9th Birthday to Dylan my nephew in Australia, we will give you a call tonight!

Happy Wedding Anniversary to Albert and Jean - 53 years married!

Alexander is enjoying morning kindy, he does get very tired towards the end of the week, so I've been collecting him up to an hour early until he settles into the much longer hours. We have been getting more paintings and some very interesting woodwork, he just loves to play with the cordless drills, wood, nails and screws!!!

Alexander started Morning Kindy this morning!!!!
He goes from 8:15am till 12:30pm everyday now, and I have to send him with a little packed lunch too.
He knows alot of the kids as they were with him at the afternoon sessions, so he was quite happy this morning when I dropped him off. I'm sure it will take a bit of getting used to as we are most defiantly NOT morning people. Next week Daddy will drop him off on the way into work and I'll collect him him at lunch time.



my little baby is growing up so fast!!!!

Poor Alexander has been sick with a tummy bug - Tues/Wed!!! He vomited at kindy on Tuesday afternoon, I thought he might have just gotten over excited, but he promptly did it again all over the couch when we got home, poor thing! I fetched him a bowl and after that he just sat there and held the bowl under his chin when he was sick.


I has to strip the cover off the couch and get it into the washing machine and in between tending to Alexander and getting the washing on the bloody dog chewed and ripped bits off the foam inner of the couch that was outside drying!!!!

He had a pretty restless night on Tuesday, well we all did, I slept in his bed with him for the first part of the night, he must have been pretty groggy at one stage as he asked me if he was dieing!!!! and then asked if it was snowing outside. Poor Baby.

He is back to his old self today mind you....yippee!

After many many years of having my hair the same way, I'm going to get it cut today! I need to be dragged into the 21st century finally!!!!

Ive gradually been cutting it shorter and shorter, and a week ago I cut it into a bob length (short) and today I'm going off to the hair dressers to get it styled to something I can do myself and keep up. I'm sure its going to be a bit of a shock to some people as I've always had long hair, but I'm so totally ready to do this!!!!

next time I get a trim in going to get her to step it up a bit more on the back, like this....but im totally thrilled and so wish id done it sooner!!!!

Alexander has chosen two pairs of undies for his next reward chart....I've printed it off and stuck it on the bedroom door for him.

I've put his finished one away in his memory box, with the date on it.

After 10 or more days Alexander has finally earned his reward, the (horrible - well Mummy thinks its horrible) hooded spiderman top he wanted. He was so chuffed this morning when we gave it to him. I'll make up a new reward chat for him today, and he can work for the spiderman undies next.

He has done pretty well, and there has been a few days where he didn't get the stickers, so all in all I think its working.

I know its been days since I last blogged!!!!

We have started the whole "star chart" thing with Alexander. Up until now I've pooh poohed the star chart thing. Alexander wants and needs rewards (small) at the time of the good behavior etc...

While we were out today he choose an awful spiderman top, with a hood that has the spiderman mask attached!!!!! wahhhh!!!! I want my little Thomas the Tank fan back.

The rules are:
NO throwing toys
NO shouting in the house
NO silly wobblies
and
NO hurting Bobo and Scrufty
all things that he does alot during the day!

He did pretty well today after lots of reminding from me, and he did get one sticker to add to his chart! Nine more to go until he will be sporting the spiderman top!

Plus we have another chat on the go for staying in bed at night! - no star tonight though, not sure how that will go down in the morning.

As I don't have a little girl to "foo foo" her hair, Scrufty is the next best thing don't you think!!!!

Alexander had his first “sleep-over” last night!!!!
He asked to stay at Nanny’s house, and of course she said yes! We set up the room for him their months ago, up until now he has only played in there, not saw I was ready for him to stay over, but HE was ready, I just had to let go.....

He and Nanny watched Ice Age and ate ice-cream, so I hear this morning, he went off to bed without any fuss, and even slept in till after 8am this morning. When I rang him this morning they were outside in their pj’s having a swing, I got a quick hello and “I love you” and he handed the phone back to Mum!!!!

David and I went out for a drink last night and were home before 10pm! Must say I totally enjoyed my sleep in this morning, and a coffee in bed watching the news!!!! I guess I’d better go and get dressed and walk the dog; it’s now 11:30am.

Alexander and his Nanny are off to the steam trains again this afternoon, so we won’t see Alexander till dinner time. We will pop out for lunch this afternoon.

My sister Lesa and I sheared the same room as small children, that Alexander now uses :-)
