Not quite in a big boy's bed yet!

The bed is ready for his cousin Adam to sleep in tomorrow night, but Alexander wanted to sleep in it tonight :-)

Only a few short days now till Mark, Sharon and Adam arrive from the UK.
David and I will be needing a break after all the activity going on round here latley. Funny how you start one thing and then you find 10 more to do.

Outside is looking fab if I might say so myself, I didn't do a before shot as it was to "yuck" to show you...hehehe



I've "painted and planted" for the last 2 weeks (well into the evening and while Alexander was having his nap)

We cleaned out the garage, and can now fit both our cars in there :-) the rubbish bin, wood for winter, tools, the dryer etc.

I think maybe we should have passed on the Santa Photo this year?

This was our second attempt to even get close to Santa. Alexander didn't want to at all this year, he wanted to be as far away as he could, this you can see in the photo, not even having big sister there helped. Go on have a laugh on us!!!!!

Alexander (well Mummy dressed him) I notice has committed a major fashion faux par, he is wearing socks and sandals of all things...hehehe

Even Santa is wishing he was somewhere else, by the looks of things.

Plus I had to take a photo of the Santa photo, and now I can see loads of fluff all over it!!!!

A few photos from Sarah's "Mocktail" party on Saturday, a great time had by all. David and I were pooped out after an afternoon at the pub with 10, 14 year old girls and a 2 and a half year old :-)

The invite I made for Sarah's birthday on Saturday, I was up late finishing it and it was not until we had them all printed and cut up, we noticed i'd forgotten to include the day...lol

Yippee....is SUMMER finally here

We did have some lovely sunny weather last weekend though, here is Alexander showing off his soccer skills.
The one with his finger in his mouth, is him blowing his wistle.... :-)

Just when we think we are heading for summer, our hopes are dashed again. Today has been cold, cold, cold, 11 degrees and tomorrow is not going to be any better, so they tell us. I’ve had the log burner going all day, and looks like I will do again tomorrow.

Ohhh my gosh, I know I've been so terrible at updating the blog. Promise I'll do it more often.

We are all on the count down till Mark, Sharon and Adam come to New Zealand for a visit in January.

Not to mention my sister Lesa is about to have a baby in the next few weeks (it’s a boy) so Dylan will have a little brother and Alexander will have another boy cousin to add to the list.

My back is all better now (thank god); it did take some weeks to come right. I must remember not to carry Alexander as much as I had been doing, as im sure that had a lot to do with it.

School Holidays for here again, nice for Alexander to have his big sister here to do stuff with, mostly mess up her room, and move her stuff though. We are off out and about over the next few days, the weather has turned awful again, just our luck. Alexander had shorts on a few days last week.
We are going to take the train into Wellington on Thursday (Alexander just LOVES trains) and have a little wander round town.
I'm back off to the Dr's tomorrow after having my back X-Rayed on Saturday, its been sooo sore the last week and a bit, I've really no idea what I did other than carrying around Alexander. Still should know more tomorrow hopefully.
