I think maybe we should have passed on the Santa Photo this year?

This was our second attempt to even get close to Santa. Alexander didn't want to at all this year, he wanted to be as far away as he could, this you can see in the photo, not even having big sister there helped. Go on have a laugh on us!!!!!

Alexander (well Mummy dressed him) I notice has committed a major fashion faux par, he is wearing socks and sandals of all things...hehehe

Even Santa is wishing he was somewhere else, by the looks of things.

Plus I had to take a photo of the Santa photo, and now I can see loads of fluff all over it!!!!

A few photos from Sarah's "Mocktail" party on Saturday, a great time had by all. David and I were pooped out after an afternoon at the pub with 10, 14 year old girls and a 2 and a half year old :-)

The invite I made for Sarah's birthday on Saturday, I was up late finishing it and it was not until we had them all printed and cut up, we noticed i'd forgotten to include the day...lol

Yippee....is SUMMER finally here

We did have some lovely sunny weather last weekend though, here is Alexander showing off his soccer skills.
The one with his finger in his mouth, is him blowing his wistle.... :-)

Just when we think we are heading for summer, our hopes are dashed again. Today has been cold, cold, cold, 11 degrees and tomorrow is not going to be any better, so they tell us. I’ve had the log burner going all day, and looks like I will do again tomorrow.

Ohhh my gosh, I know I've been so terrible at updating the blog. Promise I'll do it more often.

We are all on the count down till Mark, Sharon and Adam come to New Zealand for a visit in January.

Not to mention my sister Lesa is about to have a baby in the next few weeks (it’s a boy) so Dylan will have a little brother and Alexander will have another boy cousin to add to the list.

My back is all better now (thank god); it did take some weeks to come right. I must remember not to carry Alexander as much as I had been doing, as im sure that had a lot to do with it.

School Holidays for here again, nice for Alexander to have his big sister here to do stuff with, mostly mess up her room, and move her stuff though. We are off out and about over the next few days, the weather has turned awful again, just our luck. Alexander had shorts on a few days last week.
We are going to take the train into Wellington on Thursday (Alexander just LOVES trains) and have a little wander round town.
I'm back off to the Dr's tomorrow after having my back X-Rayed on Saturday, its been sooo sore the last week and a bit, I've really no idea what I did other than carrying around Alexander. Still should know more tomorrow hopefully.

A little bit of news for everyone…..

Jayme passed her driving test this week – yippee!!!! She is so keen to get out driving in her car she got for her birthday but sadly it’s in being repaired (minor rust repairs)

Alexander is throwing his toys out of the cot, so much for having a nap today, some days he does and some days not.

Sarah brought home some wonderful art she has been doing at school, Ill take a photo and show you how clever she is.

Aunty Sharon has sent Alexander another wonderful jumper this week made by her Mum, a perfect fit, and he looks so cute in it.

It’s a month since I last updated, I'm sorry!!!!

Alexander is down to a 1 hour sleep during the day now or he’s still awake at 9pm at night. So ive had a lot less time to do this.

I’ve added a few new scrapbook pages ive been doing for the kids for you to look at.

And I promise ill update you more over the next few days, not that there is much to tell though.

The other night I went in to check on Alexander before I went to bed, and found him sucking his thumb. (bottom photo) Yesterday I found this photo of me asleep at the same age......uncanny isn't it!!!!!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY ALEXANDER

Alexander had a great 2nd birthday today – photos of him talking to Nanny and Granddad on the laptop sitting in his new racing car desk. Still sitting in his new desk opening the present from Christine, Jayme and Sarah. Playing with his new garage from Mummy and Daddy.

Nana came over for tea and spoilt Alexander some more – with the Cars movie on DVD, a pillowcase, and blanket and several toy cars also from the movie.

Will post more photos etc on Saturday after his party.

Birthdays Birthdays Birthdays!!!!!

I can’t believe my little boy is going to be 2 is only a matter of 11 days. I have to say he is very much a 2 year old lad, he definately knows exactly what he wants and doesn’t want – hehehe – gets that from his Dad!!!!!
I’ve gone into party planning mode now…..I love that!!!!! Christine and Jayme are making Alexander a farm yard cake this year.

I’ve just had my birthday last week and was definately spoilt with a voucher from David and Alexander for the local day spa, I'm going to have a massage, a facial, and my eyebrows shaped – all that stuff goes by the wayside when you have kids. I’ve been out to lunch twice this week as well – wow what more could a girl ask for, I tell you.

Alexander and I went out shopping with Nana this afternoon and Mum brought me some much wanted and needed winter boots and some flat comfy casuals, not to mention spoiling Alexander with ice cream and rides on the various things that are planted all over the mall. When we got home he wanted to go through all my shopping bags looking for the cars Nana had bought for his birthday while out together. I didn’t think he would remember….silly Mummy!!!!!

And thanks to Albert and Jean I’ll have a lovely new top to wear to Alexander’s birthday party.

Sarah brought me a two sided picture frame so I could show my two favorite kids in there….not that she is much of a kid any more mind you. Still Mums always think of their kids as kids even when they are 17 I'm sure……

Birthday hugs also to Albert and Great Grandma for the 31st of May.
