a few new pages, I'm thinking of making up a story and getting it printed into a real story book for Alexander....I'm not so good at making up stories though. Hey Lesa you think you could if I showed you the pages id use, and id gladly do some books for your boys and have them printed for their birthdays etc... :-)

Alexander is back at kindy today, I don't know who is more happy about this, him or I.
He is having a little nap right now, the down side to that is he is still awake at 9pm. If he misses his nap, he is grumpy, whiny, and just plain naughty before bed time, driving David and I up the wall. Oh the joys of parenthood huh!!!

Scrufty has his first appointment this afternoon at the dog groomers, so I will be sure to take some photos of him after his hair do, I hope they put a little bow in his hair!!!! Can you hear David screaming right about now!!!! haha!

While we were away in Napier, we went to Marineland and Alexander got to hold a "Little Blue Penguin" I had to laugh as he told the lady that helped get the penguin onto his knee that Gordon was very "stinky" indeed!!!!!

Safe journey back to Belgium Esther and James.

21 January 2009

We found this lovely old/abandon house just outside Napier, well I saw it on the way into Hastings, but got to stop and get some photos when we were on the way home.

I so wish I could find out how, why and when it was left to decay like this! I wonder who lived there etc, that kinda stuff keeps me awake at night. Odd I know!

20 January 2009

Here are a few photos for you Lesa, so sorry I couldn't text them to you while we were away....
Go plenty more to show you all.
We all had a lovely time, although not without incident!!! I might add!!!
But that is a whole story in its self, and I will fill you in tomorrow.

15 January 2009

We are off tomorrow to Napier for my cousin Esther's wedding, and a few days holidaying while we are at it.

Looking forward to talking Alexander to all my favourite places we went to as a child. I'm not sure he will be as thrilled as we always were at seeing the "naked lady" and there are no performing dolphins at Marineland anymore.

The statue is actually the "Sprite of Napier" I guess its some commemorative thing, but she will always be the "naked lady" to me.

Also I've lost 16kg since the middle of last year, and I'm looking forward to wearing a dress!!! yes I know, its a real dress as well, with a real price tag to match!!!! I'll be sure to blog some photos when we return.

Little Scrufty is being cared for by our lovely house sitter, so we can go away and not worry about our fur babies.

Alexander thinks we are going on a plane for a holiday, I guess every holiday in his life time so far that he can remember has started on a plane. He was a bit miffed that we were going in the car.

A couple of pages with Scrufty.....

Alexander helped me bath the puppy in the kitchen sink yesterday. He has been feeding him and loves to play with him.

I will be taking him off to "puppy pre-school" in two weeks. Gosh things have changed since I last had a dog, there was nothing like that when my first dog Chloe was a puppy 20 years ago (now that makes me feel old!!!)

06 January 2009

Last month I mentioned about my CT - (creative team) scrapbook layouts I did for Galiscraps, well she has just released a fantastic new kit "Ma vie en Rose" and three of my pages are showcased...wanna have a look?

5th, 6th and 7th on the left are mine, one of Alexander, and 2 of my friends little girl Alisha (photos that I took of her)

05 January 2009

Enough of the sad stories, how about a happy one.
Meet Scrufty the little Shih Tzu pronounced (Sheet Sue - I think) cross with a Bichon. He is only 12 weeks old, so im back to toilet training again, just when I thought id finished with all that.

After days of Alexander crying about the bigger/stray Scrufty going back to his real family, Alexander and I twisted Davids arm a little to go and have a look at the puppies at the pet shop. Our littler Scrufty has a little grey tuft on his head and chin, matching his daddy's - lol
I never thought we'd have another dog, esp after my big dog Chloe died 6 years ago.
