What do you get with a cup of milk, a spiderman ball and 1 mummy with a camera.....

im going to try this again, aside from Alexander getting upset because I spilt milk all over the table, my focas was all off etc....but it was a rather good effect I thought.

I'm pretty sure he is going to have a scar!!!! It will mostly be hidden in his eyebrow thank goodness.

I love his longer hair, he is getting his lovely curls back he had when he was a toddler! I do have to dry it with the hair dryer now and he does have "bad hair days" often, on the upside for him he gets to use my hair products!!! :-)

Hard to believe that he is going to be 4 in as many weeks.

GETTING BETTER
Alexander's eye is getting better and better by the day...... Today the bruising has worked its way down and under his eye, as well as going yellow as well as purple!

I got a lovely card from the kindy, that Alexander had made for me, signed love Alexander with (spiderman) as well!

I'm thinking I'm going to have to go with the spiderman theme for his birthday party this year, everything has to be spiderman this and spiderman that!!!

BLOOD and GUTS
If you are all all queasy or don't like blood or hurt children don't read on! More especially if its your grandchild, nephew, Auntie or Uncle!

On Monday we meet with Sarah before she started work at Petone McDonald's, we had a little time before she started so Alexander wanted a drink and a play in the playground. Was all nice and quiet, no other children so Alexander had all the equipment to himself. No sooner had he started playing he, turned to me screaming, (you know that bad type of screaming) It kinda played out in slow motion. He had blood running from his eyebrow, down his face dripping onto his clothes.

I picked him up and held my hand over his face, while Sarah ran off and got some paper serviettes, by that stage I was covered in blood also. The thing about this playground is that it is inside and surrounded by glass so parents can watch their children and staff have full view also. I was truly saddened that no staff came to our assistance, mean while Alexander was still crying his head off!

I scooped him up (all 20kgs of him) and opened the door to the restaurant and grabbed the only thing I could see (the cleaning cloth) I asked a passing staff member to go and fetch me some ice, she duly came back with another cleaning cloth and some ice and left me to it!!!!

Sarah phoned David and he collected us and we smartly went to the doctors to have his 1 and a half centimeter gash looked at. He was so brave, while the nurse cleaned his wound and glued it closed and stuck some stitch like tape over it!

Below are some photos.....I must say I was shocked at what he looked like when he woke up yesterday, he started crying when he woke up saying his "eye was stuck closed/broken)

I've kept him home from kindy for 2 days, his eye is still closed up and he looks like and old man trying to look through bifocal glasses all the time :-) He is in good spirits though and has been regularly checking it in the mirror!!!
