Our dear sweet Boeing (Bobo) the cat) was taken from us 3 nights ago; she was hit by a car and killed outside our house. I won’t even go into how heartbreaking it is to collect your beloved cat up off the road, I thank god David was able to do that, he wrapped her in a towel and brought her inside. We showed her to Alexander so he could see that she was dead, but he really doesn’t understand so well. David took her to the vet’s as we are going to have her cremated and returned to us in an urn.
I’ve tried to explain to Alexander that she has gone to heaven now, “to be with Great Grandma he asked” and today he asked when she was coming back in her jar. So I guess in his own way he understands.
I remember when we first brought Alexander home from hospital I was worried Bobo would hop into his bassinette and sleep on him; she never did, only sat at the edge of the bed and peered in if he was crying. Later she would sleep at the end of his cot with him and then on his bed at nights. She never bit or scratched him, even when he carried her around with his hands tucked under her armpits and her body dangling down to the ground!
Rest in peace sweet kitty, we will miss you very much.....

I have to have a little brag....look what I have been growing in the garden!!!
Strawberries, Sugar Snap Peas, and a whopper of a Brocccaliflower (cross between a cauliflower and a Broccoli)
I’ve used no sprays or pestersides, the only thing I do is pick off the cabbage butterfly caterpillars’ and chuck them WAY over the fence!
Happy Birthday to my little Sister Lesa in Australia, and we won’t mention ages will we.
I think I have missed the passing of Alexander’s coins, cos they have to have gone by now! I phoned the Dr’s nurse and she said he’s be in some pain if he still had them inside.

LOST & FOUND
After 4 and half years I can finally say that I’ve lost my kid in the shopping mall!!!! Not someone else’s kid, MY OWN!!! He was right with me and then he was gone, found less than 4 minutes later crying his little heart out in the shop Bra’s and Things of all places. I guessed he would not be too hard to find in his superman tee shirt and a bright red Lycra cape I made for him. I was packing myself, and all that crazy stuff runs through your head etc.
The nice young lady brought him outside to where I was standing. I must have looked like the mum who had just lost her child, as Alexander came running and flung his arms round me. Later when we got home he said he was sorry for causing a fuss at the mall!!!

Alexander is thrilled to have his Nan back from Australia, we had to rush over right away to see her, and he did want to ring as soon as he woke up, but we persuaded him to wait as I’m sure Nan would not have wanted a 6:30am wakeup call after her arrival the night before on the last flight in!
I always feel for my sister Lesa and her boys at this time because I know they are missing her so much, don’t cry Lesa when you read this! Look forward to a visit from us this year anyway, we will be doing the big trip to the UK before Alexander starts school this year in June, so we will be stopping off with you on the way home I know.

Another year passes us by.....funnily it was a year ago today we got Scrufty our little Shih Tzu doggie, and I now can’t imagine life without him, he is so funny and cute, but best of all he just adores his buddy Alexander.
Not too much to really report on, life is pretty quiet, enjoying the holiday break with family and friends.
